Dear Families,
As you know the Screening tool for students was updated last week by the Ministry of Education. Our Local Public Health has made some changes to the screener to reflect our local data. In particular, instead of getting a covid test right away if there is only one symptom (such as a runny nose) or choosing to self isolate for 10 days, it is suggested that you wait 24 hours and if the symptoms clear up you may send your child back to school. If the symptoms are still evident then you would be recommended for testing or isolation.
Application of this updated local screener and guidance will begin on Monday, March 1, 2021. Please review it carefully as there are some significant changes. If you have any questions please contact your Catholic School Principal or Grey Bruce Public Health.
