Again, we know now that we will be back in school next week but are taking some steps to be prepared should it be a requirement of the Ministry of Education to move to remote learning after the April Spring Break. We will be encouraging students to take home essential materials in advance to be prepared for any future announcements. This continues to be a precautionary measure only and is not intended to add to the speculation or create any unnecessary worry. We will continue to keep you up to date if there are new developments.
With the long weekend ahead, we are strongly encouraging all staff and families to follow all COVID safety requirements in our region. Adherence to the public safety rules, avoiding unnecessary travel, and daily self-screening are all ways to ensure a safe return to school for all of us. Our students and staff have worked very hard these past months and the opportunity for a much-needed break has arrived.
As we head towards the end of this week, we would like to wish you all the blessings of the Easter Season and a restful Easter weekend. Holy Week has always been a special time in our Catholic schools. There are many liturgies and prayers that help us in our contemplation of Jesus’ journey to the cross. While we cannot gather together as we have in the past, we know there have been many special efforts to connect with our faith as we approach the Easter weekend. The Diocese of Hamilton has also produced resources that can be helpful for the
Easter Triduum. Please see a copy of this resource here:
Happy Easter.
