September 1st marks the start of FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) Awareness Month. Landmarks and monuments across Canada will be lighting up red for International FASD Awareness Day on Sept. 9th and throughout the month of September.

Dear Families,

We hope this message finds you well and you are enjoying the last days of summer. As we prepare for a new school year, we want to extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you. Our schools are more than just buildings; they are vibrant faith filled communities where we learn, grow, pray and collaborate together.

Student Transportation Service Consortium of Grey-Bruce is excited to introduce the First Rider Program, a School Bus Safety Program, happening this summer.

Christian Routenburg-Evans, a grade 12 student representing St. Mary's High School, recently participated in the Royal Canadian Legion Public Speaking Competition. He had already won each competition as he progressed through the levels, and he hoped to bring home a medal for St. Mary's. On May 6th, he competed in the Provincial Finals in Stouffville, and he did not disappoint.

Ontario will celebrate the upcoming coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty the Queen. This will mark the first coronation of a Canadian Head of State in seven decades. As such, we are encouraging that the people of Ontario, including students and school staff, take part in celebrating this historic event.

Hanover – The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board celebrated its annual “Applause Breakfast Awards” event Monday May 1st at the Chesley Community Centre, as part of our Catholic Education Week celebrations.
